Although taking medications regularly gives the feeling that the person is sick, one should realize that sleep disorders are not actually illnesses but conditions that need management that includes medication and other therapeutic measures like sleep training.

While it is common for people to sleep for duration between six and eight hours there are some of even go up to ten hours of sleep per day. While some people tend to sleep more than others and will just go to sleep and come awake only when the sun rises to announce a new day, it is essential to remember that the body needs enough amount of rest in a day to help recuperate and also to improve the immune status of the body so that it is fit to ward off any problems that the body might face.

While it is essential for the body to get adequate rest, many people especially the young do not give importance to sleep added to which they follow a lifestyle that abuses and stretches the body’s endurance to the maximum.
